Ride season is here...

If your organization is planning a charity motorcycle run and you would like it promoted on the Ride Report at www.y106.com, just email the information to ride@y106.com.  Be sure to include the name of the event, charity to benefit, date, time the run starts, start and finish location, entrance fee and an email address or phone number where a member of your organization can be contacted. We'll make sure all the bikers in South Cental Indiana know about it.

The Talon Motorcycle Association (TMA) is conducting a charity ride to raise funds for the Miracle Ride and the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund. Rain or shine. 130 mile ride planned with five stop locations. (riders should expect 3 - 4hrs to travel to all the locations) American Legion - Franklin VFW - Greenwood Fraternal Order of Police - Greenfield American Legion - Rushville (selling lunch) American Legion - Shelbyville The event will end at the American Legion in Edinburgh. (vendors & displays set up by noon through at least 6pm) Which will have Schneider National's "Ride of Pride" semi-truck, US Army recruiting command's "tricked out" Hummer H2 (has three big screen TV's with a Xbox playsystem and a loud stereo), a couple military vehicles, various vendors, raffle items, and a live band. The American Legion is also selling food for a reasonable price in support of this event. Last bike should be in by 4 pm and the awarding of prizes at 5 pm. Riders can show up anytime during registration hours, sign-in, pay the registration fees ($20 for bike/rider and additional $10 for passenger), receive their "Trip Ticket" (which contains the locations they must stop at for a stamp/punch) and are free to travel the route anyway they would like to. Event T-shirts are available for $10 while supplies last. We would like to invite everyone to participate in the Charity Run. If they don't ride or just looking for something to do for a couple hours on Saturday- please come by the Edinburgh American Legion and enjoy some live music and the displays.
